About Appaman:

I love the unique story behind the name of his company.  Appaman is is inspired by, and named after, the childhood companion of founder and designer Harald Husum.  While growing up in Norway, he befriended a corduroy ape named Appaman.  Together they traveled the fields of their native land, sharing many fantastic adventures.  Combining a unique Scandinavian perspective and inspiration from the pop culture of urban Brooklyn, Appaman’s clothes are immediately separated from the rest.  I love Appaman for boys, because of the range of colors, and all the bold images that are finally allowing boys to be as creative and cute as the girls!  And Appaman for girls is fun, funky, and always on trend.
