I was so thrilled when I came across Maya Organic! I just think their toys are so lovely, bright and different.

I am also so impressed with what Maya Organic is doing in india. Their organization shows us exactly what possibilities lye in a community and in giving back.

MAYA ORGANIC is a livelihood initiative of MAYA, a development organization working in INDIA on issues of education reform and livelihood since 1989.

With a strong emphasis on safety, quality and the use of natural dyes, MO has begun to create a visible market presence.

MAYA was initiated with the primary focus of addressing issues of child rights and eradication of
child labor and in the early years was focused mainly on working directly with children, removing them from work places and enrolling them into formal schools.

The mainstay of MAYA’s work from the beginning has been to support communities to articulate their concerns and build their institutional capabilities in creating an enabling and supportive environment for their children.

Over the years it has developed systemic solutions which while addressing issues of quality education and strengthened livelihoods of local communities, will in turn be able to address the root cause of child labour.

MAYA ORGANIC believes that an emphasis on quality in the workplace will translate into enhanced livelihood options for the worker communities.
